Week #33 – The forms of power & privileges, and practical design philosophy

Here's what happened on the thirty-third week of 2022.

📆 On Tuesday 16 August, we discussed the different forms of power, how they influence decision-making, and how they relate (or not) to design. We discussed how power can be reciprocal, and why it is best described in context.

We also discussed the notion that platforms like Amazon & Youtube give a form of power to their users, but this power is asymmetrical because it is structurally lent, to the extent of what the platforms are willing to go.
