Kate Morgan thanks for this great article!

Most of the tactics elaborated here are taking advantage of our cognitive biases, and this is a really interesting topic. However, to be a little critical with what’s proposed here, I think we can easily raise concerns regarding the ethics of using such tactics.

Manipulation — because this is what we’re talking about here — is either “good” or “bad”, it’s really a matter of point of view and morality.

Examples of philosophical and ethical questioning:

  • Changing someone’s belief, okay, but is it really for his/her own good or yours?
  • How do you determine what’s good or bad? Can you even determine such good/bad for someone else?
  • If so, what’s the difference with a dogma?

Well, anyway really interesting topic.

Thanks again 👍
